This Privacy Policy explains how Innozant Infotech Private Limited ("Innozant", "we", "us") handles personal information in connection with innozant.com, our learning app, course delivery and enquiries.
1. Information we use
- Account and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, login details and profile information you provide, such as a profile photograph or city.
- Learning information: enrolled courses, access permissions, lesson progress, playback preferences, download records and information needed to provide learning support.
- Enquiries and support: your contact details, selected course or enquiry topic, training mode, comments and correspondence.
- Transactions: course purchases, order references, payment status and billing information needed to process and support a transaction. Payment details entered in the payment provider's interface are handled by that provider.
- Technical information: device and app details, IP addresses, service logs, crash diagnostics, usage information where analytics is enabled, and notification tokens where notifications are enabled.
2. Why we use this information
We use information to create and secure accounts, verify course access, deliver lessons and permitted offline downloads, remember learning progress, process orders, respond to enquiries, provide support and service notifications, diagnose problems, prevent misuse and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Optional communications and permissions remain subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
3. Service providers and external features
Our services use hosting, content delivery, payment, email and diagnostic providers, including AWS media delivery, Razorpay for supported purchases, and Google/Firebase services for app functionality and diagnostics. Relevant information is processed through these services for the functions they provide. Provider processing may take place in India or other locations, subject to applicable requirements.
Embedded YouTube previews and Google Maps may communicate with their providers. Opening WhatsApp, your email or phone application, or an external spreadsheet application involves that application's own privacy practices. Opening an Excel resource externally gives the selected application access to that file; it is not covered by an app-only storage guarantee.
The Google Play student-only app does not offer in-app course purchases. Analytics collection is disabled in that release; crash diagnostics may still be processed. Website and direct-distribution app features may differ, including purchases, analytics and notifications.
4. Cookies, device storage and your choices
The website uses cookies and similar storage for functions such as sign-in, security, preferences and checkout. Analytics or embedded services may use additional identifiers where enabled. You can manage browser cookies and device permissions; blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other functions. Notification permission can be changed in your device settings.
The app stores session information, preferences and permitted course downloads on your device. Offline resources remain subject to the access granted for your course. External applications may retain their own copies of files that you choose to open with them.
5. Retention schedule
We retain information for the purpose for which it is needed, subject to applicable legal requirements. Our operating schedule distinguishes necessary financial records from optional account or enquiry information:
- Accounting, invoice and necessary transaction records: the current financial year and at least the preceding eight financial years. Where applicable, GST retention is also calculated from the relevant annual-return due date; the later applicable deadline governs. Investigations, proceedings or other legal obligations may require longer retention.
- Account information: while needed for an active account. After a verified deletion request, our operational target is to remove or anonymize unnecessary personal information within 30 days. Required financial, security or dispute records may be retained separately, and any exception or delay will be explained.
- Learning and course-access records: while the purchased access remains valid. Unnecessary learning details are scheduled for review within 12 months after access ends, or earlier following a verified deletion request. This schedule does not shorten ongoing or lifetime access. Necessary certificate, transaction or entitlement evidence may require separate retention.
- Unconverted enquiries and routine support: review for deletion or anonymization 12 months after the last meaningful interaction or ticket closure, unless an unresolved issue or legal obligation requires longer.
- Security logs: subject to applicable requirements, including a rolling minimum of 180 days under the CERT-In directions where applicable, with extensions for incidents or legal holds.
- Recovery backups: our operational target is rotation of ordinary backups containing deleted non-financial data within 90 days after active-system removal. This is not an instant-erasure guarantee. Statutory accounting archives and legal holds are separate; we will explain applicable backup limitations when handling a request.
Requests are reviewed manually. These operational targets do not mean that an automatic deletion system is running. Provider-managed records may have different retention requirements or settings; we review applicable provider handling when fulfilling a request.
6. Access, correction and account deletion
To request access to or correction of your information, withdraw an optional consent, raise a privacy concern, or request deletion of your account and associated personal information, email info@innozant.com. You may also use the account-deletion request option where available in the app. An email request is available even if you no longer have the app.
Please identify your registered account and the request; do not send your password, full card details or unrelated identity documents. We will verify ownership proportionately before acting. The administrator or an assigned account manager reviews requests. We will explain the effect on sign-in and course access before fulfilling account closure, and identify any information that must be retained and why. A deletion request does not automatically cancel an order, create a refund or erase legally required purchase records.
7. Security and younger learners
We use access controls and technical safeguards to protect information. No online service or device storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your login details private and report suspected account misuse to us. Parents or guardians can contact us about a younger learner's information; any consent or verification required by applicable law must be addressed before the relevant processing.
